Contract Amount – $33,870,000
PS/IS 89 will be a 333-seat school. The building, with a gross area of approximately 55,900 sq. ft., will include a basement and four stores above grade. The project, designed by the Pratt Planning and Architectural Collaborative, includes the partial demolition, connection and conversion of about 45,000 sq. ft. of several existing buildings, and about 10,000 sq. ft. of new construction. The school building will be fully air-conditioned, and will include wireless LAN and Internet access throughout.
